If like me you like to go and explore, but then are disappointed when you get there you find out dogs are not allowed. This has happened more than once. So now I like to check the place out before I agree to go there, as who likes to be stuck in a car when there are loads of smells around.
Yesterday we headed across the border to England to visit Attingham Park. This is a dog friendly National Trust place, obviously not including the house and I have to be on a short lead, but that is ok.
Although walking around on the lead is better then being left at home, at Attingham Park they do have a off lead section so I was able to run, catch and return sticks, which I have to admit was the best part of the day for me.
During 2pm and 2:30pm they had deer feeding, as we walked up there, we saw herd of deer just eating from the ground, taking no notice of the people who came to watch. I got a little bored of this as I wasn’t allowed to play or even eat with the deer. Maybe next time if I call ahead??
The day out was good to explore a new National Trust properties, and it is good to know dogs are allowed all year round, so I am sure we will return later in the year. All my adventures at national trust properties can be viewed on Instagram and also with the #DogsAtNationalTrustProperties
